Subscribe to Total and the first 14 days are free — cancel before they end and you pay nothing. It is an introductory offer from the app store: it starts when you subscribe, not when you create your account, and both Google Play and the App Store ask for a payment method to activate it. The Free plan, by contrast, never expires and asks for no card.
For comparison: a basic private telecare service typically costs somewhere between €15 and €40 a month, depending on the country and provider — sometimes provided by a municipality at a subsidised rate, sometimes sold privately. Aasta isn’t a replacement for professional telecare with a staffed emergency call centre — it’s family contact and wellbeing — but it typically costs well less than those alternatives.
FAQ
Can I change plans later?
Yes, any time, from the app. The change is immediate; billing is prorated.
Is there a contract, or a cancellation penalty?
No. Cancel whenever you like and you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for.
Is the price per older adult or per family?
The plan is yours — the carer’s. You pay once and it covers the older adults you have connected, up to your plan’s limit. Free and Plus cover one older adult; Total covers up to 4 from the same account, with no extra plan for each one.
Why do some features say "coming soon"?
Because they are not ready yet, and they will arrive in an app update. On top of that, features like background location or continuous use of the motion sensors need a special review from Apple and Google. We list them separately so it is clear what you can use today and what you cannot.
