1. What Aasta is

Aasta is a family wellbeing and communication app. It lets an older adult connect with one or more family members to voluntarily share their status (battery, activity, and optionally location) and communicate through voice messages and a help button.

Aasta is NOT a medical product, a medical device, an emergency service, or a professional telecare service with a 24-hour call centre, and it does not replace human supervision. In any real emergency, always call your country’s emergency number (112 in Spain, Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Iceland; 112 or 113 in Norway).

2. Who can use Aasta

You must be an adult to create a family member (monitor) account. The connected older adult doesn’t need to create a complex account, but using the app on their behalf is the responsibility of whoever manages the pairing.

By using Aasta, you confirm that the information you give us (name, email) is accurate.

3. Plans, pricing and subscriptions

Aasta offers a permanent Free plan and two paid plans (Plus and Total), billed monthly or annually as detailed on the pricing page.

Subscriptions are managed and billed through the relevant app store (App Store or Google Play) or our subscription provider. To cancel a paid subscription, do so from that store’s own subscription settings — Aasta cannot process the cancellation directly.

Prices may change. If they change for an active subscription, we’ll give you reasonable notice before the new price applies at the next renewal.

The free 14-day trial of Total is offered once per new account.

4. Acceptable use

Aasta is built for contact between family members with the knowledge, and where possible the consent, of the connected older adult. It must not be used to monitor someone without their knowledge when that person is capable of giving consent.

You may not use Aasta to harass, abusively control, or otherwise violate another person’s rights.

We reserve the right to suspend an account if we find clear misuse of these terms.

5. Service limitations

Aasta’s alerts (battery, inactivity, location, help button) depend on the phone having battery, an internet connection, and the necessary permissions turned on. None of these alerts are guaranteed 100% of the time: they can fail for reasons outside our control (coverage, OS failures, revoked permissions, etc.).

Features marked "coming soon" on the pricing page (possible-fall alert, geofences) are not active yet and should not be assumed to be available until announced as such.

6. Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Aasta is not liable for indirect damages arising from use or inability to use the service, including the absence of an alert you expected to receive.

Nothing in these terms limits liability in cases where the law does not allow it to be limited (for example, wilful misconduct or gross negligence).

7. Intellectual property

The app, its code, design and content belong to Aasta Ispania SL or its licensors. Cefiro 8 Digital SL develops and publishes the app on the App Store and Google Play on behalf of Aasta Ispania SL. You’re granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app under these terms.

8. Cancellation and account deletion

You can stop using Aasta at any time. To fully delete your account and data, follow the process described on the "Delete my account" page.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change is material, we’ll notify you by email or with a notice in the app before it takes effect.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by Spanish law. For any dispute that can’t be resolved amicably, the parties submit to the courts that apply under the relevant consumer-protection rules.
